About the Role
The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Senior Program Officer to lead Content Enablement efforts, focusing on developing partnerships with organizations that facilitate structured volunteering programs.Responsibilities
- Secure new partnerships with organizations that offer structured volunteering programs.
- Support Wikimedia communities and volunteers to provide training and content challenges through these programs.
- Develop an understanding of Wikipedia editing practices and policies to effectively communicate with partners.
- Identify knowledge gaps that match volunteering organizations' capacities and interests using readership data and community insights.
Requirements
- Professional experience in education, youth, and/or volunteer management programs.
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build community trust and alignment.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work across departments in a distributed and cross-cultural environment.
