About the Role
The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Senior Program Officer, Content Enablement to develop and implement strategies for attracting new contributors through education and volunteering programs.Responsibilities
- Secure new partnerships with organizations that facilitate structured volunteering programs
- Support Wikimedia communities and volunteers in offering training and content challenges through structured volunteering programs
- Develop an understanding of Wikipedia editing practices and policies to effectively communicate with partners
- Use data and insights to identify knowledge gaps that match volunteering organizations’ capacities and interests
Requirements
- Professional experience in education, youth, and/or volunteer management programs
- Strong facilitation skills and demonstrated ability to build community trust and alignment
- Proven flair for communicating ideas, with excellent written and spoken English
