About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager - Technical Services, you will play a critical role in managing emergent customer needs and technical challenges for operating nuclear power plants. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, while maintaining strong relationships with international customers, particularly in Asia. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to scope and execute project deliverables.

The nuclear energy sector is a complex and highly regulated industry, requiring a deep understanding of technical requirements, safety standards, and business policies. As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating projects from inception to closure, ensuring that all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Your role will involve working in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergent customer requests, and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will need to be adaptable, proactive, and able to think critically to resolve complex problems. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be essential in communicating effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers with emergent technical needs
  • Manage technical projects from customer inquiry to project closure
  • Provide leadership and project management for assigned projects
  • Ensure project management practices are followed in accordance with business policies and projects are delivered within schedule and cost constraints
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and business policies
  • Monitor project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report progress to stakeholders
  • Negotiate contract terms and manage change orders as needed to address project scope changes or non-standard events
  • Mentor and guide junior project managers, sharing expertise and best practices
  • Develop specialized knowledge in nuclear energy and stay updated on the latest technical developments in the field

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (equivalent experience/education will be considered)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Minimum 3 years managing medium- to large-scale projects (with multi-disciplinary team and project)
  • Strong understanding of nuclear energy, including technical requirements and safety standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information effectively and clearly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management tools, processes, and software
  • PMP Certification (desired)

Nice to Have

  • Senior Reactor Operator experience
  • Knowledge of United States nuclear regulatory requirements
  • Experience with engineering and project tools, processes, and software
  • Demonstrated ability to respond to emergent customer requests
  • Self-motivated and capable of planning and executing major initiatives with little supervision
