The Senior Project Manager role at Thermo Fisher Scientific is a key position that entails managing client relationships, program delivery, and project teams. As a senior project manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of programs, ensuring that project deliverables meet customer expectations and financial commitments. What You Will Do
- Facilitate routine client-facing meetings and attend internal meetings
- Coordinate client visits in tandem with Business Development and Lab Operations management
- Support and lead program governance models
- Oversee complex stability launch coordination
- Responsible for FTE project management, including setup, monitoring, and completion
- Responsible for client project prioritization
- Establish project status trackers, distribute to project teams, and review output to ensure project deliverables are met
- Evaluate and escalate risks across projects, monitoring and soliciting feedback
- Responsible for projections and forecasts for large FTE programs, adhering to client budgets and utilization targets
- Manage contract processes in tandem with Business Development, owning individual client project contract renewals
- Provide training and support to Program Manager I and Program Manager II, driving consistency with program management processes
- Respond to client inquiries and lead client communications
- Manage client expectations and execution of program deliverables in collaboration with Laboratory Operations management
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline
- 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the biopharma industry
- Strong scientific background and knowledge of biopharma principles
- Excellent project management skills, including coordination, planning, and execution
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with program governance models and stability launch coordination
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with contract management and client relationship management
Nice to Have
