About the Role
The Senior QA Automation Engineer position at Proxify revolves around taking full ownership of the quality assurance lifecycle for a core product within a high-growth client team. This involves working closely with various teams, including development, DevOps, and product management, to identify and mitigate risks, and to ensure that the product is thoroughly tested before deployment.
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. What You Will Do
- Lead the entire QA strategy for a key product, from initial test planning to final execution.
- Write, maintain, and scale automated Playwright test suites to ensure zero-regression deployments.
- Perform deep-dive data validation to ensure backend integrity.
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure test coverage is seamlessly integrated into the deployment pipeline.
- Act as a quality advocate within the team, tracking issues, and mentoring team members on best practices.
- Architect and implement automated testing workflows using Azure Test Plans and Azure DevOps.
- Develop and maintain complex test cases and regression scenarios.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and design.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA automation.
- Participate in Agile meetings and contribute to the planning and execution of sprint goals.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize testing needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Advanced, hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end and regression testing.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for robust test scripting.
- Proven experience writing and maintaining complex test cases and regression scenarios.
- Solid SQL proficiency for validating test data and database interactions.
- Practical experience integrating automated testing workflows into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Professional-level English with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions with developers and product managers.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including Agile methodologies.
