About the Role
The Senior QA Engineer role at Avomind is a versatile and dynamic position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and adaptability. As a key member of the Core Platform team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of Avomind's products, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical issues. Your day-to-day work will involve testing, automating, and collaborating with engineers, product managers, and operations teams to drive confident resolutions to complex problems.Avomind operates in a fast-paced environment, and this role demands the ability to switch focus and context at short notice while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail. You will be working on mission-critical, time-sensitive projects, often with limited time to plan, which requires sound judgment under pressure and the ability to work autonomously.

What You Will Do
- Act as a trusted quality specialist, deployed onto critical areas as needed, with the autonomy to own tasks from start to finish.
- Develop and deepen functional expertise across all Core Platform domains, including Onboarding, Payments, PSP, Trading, Loyalty, and Operations.
- Provide hands-on test support for front-end and back-end changes, user workflows, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure automated coverage targets high-risk, business-critical paths.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of how each domain works and where the real business and client risk sits.
- Surface edge cases, subtle regressions, and quiet failure modes that others might miss.
- Operate with rigorous attention to detail, applying non-negotiable standards to all aspects of your work.
- Work as an embedded team player across squads, partnering with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Translate domain expertise into automation strategies, critically evaluating what is worth automating.
- Perform high-level impact analysis and define pragmatic test approaches for production and maintenance changes.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience (5+ years) in QA or quality engineering, ideally in fintech, with a focus on complex products.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly build deep functional knowledge of complex products.
- Strong product thinking, with the ability to reason about user workflows, business impact, and quality risk.
- Experience testing across infrastructure, front-end, and back-end surfaces, with a working familiarity with stacks like Go-based back-end services and Flutter mobile front-end.
- Ability to critically evaluate and shape an automation strategy.
- Strong understanding of test automation concepts, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, version control, and data validation.
- Ability to work comfortably with tools like Excel and similar technologies.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with micro-services architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL/Kafka data validation.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
