About the Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer at Abridge, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the company's AI-powered platform. This platform is designed to improve clinical documentation efficiencies and enable clinicians to focus on patient care. You will be responsible for driving a culture of quality throughout the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues.The role entails a deep understanding of software development, testing, and automation, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will be working in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of three days per week spent in the San Francisco office. As a senior member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing best practices.

What You Will Do
- Break the product to its limits, uncovering bugs, edge cases, and usability gaps
- Conduct manual testing to validate functionality, reliability, and user experience
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with developers to embed quality practices early in the development lifecycle
- Refine requirements with product managers to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines with comprehensive and reliable automated testing solutions
- Mentor and guide team members in quality practices and testing methodologies
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that quality standards are met
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in software testing and automation
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize quality issues
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or software development with a strong focus on manual and automated testing
- Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with test automation tools like Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
- Critical thinking and methodical approach to uncovering bugs and ensuring quality
- Proven ability to integrate testing strategies early in the development process
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to partner effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of performance and load testing tools and methodologies
- Experience with API testing tools and CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies

- Experience testing AI/ML-based products
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms and containerization
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Certification in software testing or quality assurance
