Senior Quality Engineer (Belo Horizonte)

## About the Role As a Senior Quality Engineer at LawnStarter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be responsible for owning the automation coverage, shaping the bug process, and partnering closely with Product, Design, and the Data team to catch problems before they reach customers. You will report to the Engineering Manager and be embedded across the engineering organization.

The role is hands-on and strategic, helping raise the quality ceiling for the whole team. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from building and expanding automated test coverage to identifying gaps in the quality process and proposing solutions.

## What You Will Do - Design and grow the E2E and integration test suite using Cypress - Set the strategy, prioritize coverage gaps, and raise the floor across the platform - Own the full lifecycle from triage to production fix, keeping stakeholders informed and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks - Collaborate with PMs, Designers, and the Data team to review requirements, raise risks early, and define what 'done' actually means - Identify weaknesses in how software is delivered and propose solutions - Test new features and existing flows on web and mobile across devices, catching what automation misses - Explore new tools and leverage AI to improve quality operations - Develop and maintain automated tests for new and existing features - Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure quality is integrated into the development process

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering - Strong background in automated testing, including experience with Cypress - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Experience working in an Agile development environment - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Experience with PHP (Laravel) and React/React Native - Knowledge of Claude Code and its application in engineering workflows - Experience with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Data

## Nice to Have - Experience with AI-powered testing tools - Knowledge of dynamic pricing and AI-powered features - Experience working in a remote team environment - Certification in software testing or a related field
