About the Role
LawnStarter is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its team in Florianópolis, Brazil. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our platform, working closely with our engineering, product, and design teams to identify and mitigate risks. You will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests, as well as developing and maintaining our testing infrastructure.Our platform is built using PHP, Laravel, and React, and we use Cypress as our primary testing framework. We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality and has a strong technical background, with experience in automation testing and a solid understanding of software development principles.
What You Will Do
- Design and implement automated tests for our platform using Cypress
- Develop and maintain our testing infrastructure, ensuring that it is scalable and reliable
- Collaborate with our engineering team to identify and prioritize testing needs
- Work with our product team to develop and implement new features, ensuring that they meet our quality standards
- Develop and maintain our bug tracking system, ensuring that issues are properly documented and prioritized
- Collaborate with our design team to ensure that our platform is user-friendly and meets our quality standards
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring that our code is of high quality and meets our standards
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our testing and quality processes
- Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions
- Collaborate with our data team to ensure that our platform is data-driven and that we are using data to inform our quality decisions
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation testing
- Strong technical background, with experience in PHP, Laravel, and React
- Experience with Cypress and other testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
- Experience with bug tracking systems and test management tools
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
- Experience working in an Agile environment

- Experience with AI-powered testing tools and technologies
