About the Role
Caspar Health is seeking a seasoned Senior React Native Engineer & Team Lead to join their Patient Squad. As a leader in the digital health space, Caspar Health combines medical expertise with technological innovation to support patients' recovery and independence. This role is pivotal in developing intuitive frontends that enhance the human touch in healthcare, making technology an ally rather than a replacement for medical professionals.Day-to-day, you will be at the helm of your team, guiding the development of mobile and web applications that are at the forefront of digital health. Your expertise in React Native will be crucial in shaping the technical roadmap of our applications, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of both patients and medical professionals. What You Will Do
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers, focusing on their growth and well-being.
- Develop and execute the technical roadmap for our React Native applications, ensuring alignment with medical needs and digital innovation.
- Collaborate with other Product Squads and Clinical teams to translate medical expertise into seamless digital experiences.
- Oversee the development of white-label mobile apps, web applications, and core React Native mobile apps.
- Implement Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for smooth, continuous delivery of mobile applications.
- Spearhead the integration of AI and automation, including the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) for coding and the development of multi-agent environments.
- Ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices, guiding the team in test coverage and state management.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to set new standards and drive innovation in digital health accessibility.
- Bridge the gap between frontend and backend architectures, ensuring a holistic approach to application development.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in leading engineering teams, preferably in a digital health context.
- Extensive background in mobile application development, specifically within the React Native ecosystem.
- Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and a strong understanding of frontend and mobile development principles.
- Experience with state management frameworks like RxJS or Redux.
- Familiarity with end-to-end testing frameworks such as Cypress.
- Strong interest in backend technologies and the ability to bridge the gap between frontend and backend architectures.
- A growth mindset with a 'can-do' attitude, always looking to learn, adapt, and tackle new challenges.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering and the integration of LLMs in coding workflows.
