About the Role

The Senior React / Python / AWS Engineer position at Workiy Inc. is a remote opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced professional to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-native applications and intelligent solutions. This role is crucial as it will be at the forefront of integrating AI capabilities into end-to-end applications, working closely with product managers, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into innovative technical solutions.

Day-to-day, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving best practices in software development, cloud architecture, and AI adoption, ensuring high-performance, secure, and scalable solutions. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of technical decisions, and delivering impactful products that enhance business outcomes through modern engineering and AI-driven innovation is essential.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications using React, Python, and AWS services.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into applications, focusing on Generative AI and Large Language Models.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL services to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, Glue, Redshift, and CloudWatch for high-performance and secure solutions.
  • Work with Generative AI platforms like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI.
  • Implement AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, Tool Calling, and Agentic Workflows.
  • Use Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Data Engineering concepts for comprehensive data management.
  • Design and deploy microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance for better user experience.

What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience with React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Proficiency in Python development for backend services and API development.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, and AI-powered applications.
  • Knowledge of AI Agents, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic Workflows.
  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, Delta Lake, and Data Engineering concepts.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Systems.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
