About the Role
The Senior Revenue Accountant role at Salsify is a critical position that requires a high level of expertise in revenue accounting, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. As a key member of the accounting team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing revenue activities, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition standards, and driving process improvements to support the company's rapid growth.The role will have a strong operational emphasis on month-end close responsibilities, as well as the opportunity to work on business expansion initiatives, system implementations, and process improvements. What You Will Do
- Review contracts and contract documentation to ensure revenue and related accounts are presented accurately according to ASC 606
- Perform revenue activities and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Work closely with the billing and collections team to resolve customer payment issues
- Assist with order management functions, including monitoring the integration between Salesforce and NetSuite
- Partner with the legal, business operations, and sales teams on contract negotiations and deal structure to ensure revenue recognition compliance
- Document revenue processes and controls, implement improvements, and drive automation initiatives
- Work closely with the business operations team to build and test system configurations
- Assist external auditors on revenue-related requests and documentation
- Assist with ad-hoc projects for the Corporate Controller and Senior Revenue Manager as they arise
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of related experience in revenue corporate accounting (international corporate accounting is a bonus)
- Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required
- Experience with Salesforce and NetSuite is a plus
- Possess a focus for process improvements and challenging the status quo
- Experience with reviewing and interpreting sales contracts
- Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- CPA preferred
