Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist will play a critical role in Cotiviti's Revenue Cycle team, working closely with other members of the Yield Management Division to ensure departmental expectations are met. This position involves managing complex daily functions and processes, including payment posting, invoicing, and offset analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying discrepancies, analyzing issues, and implementing solutions to ensure timely payment posting.

As a subject matter expert in the revenue cycle space, the Senior Specialist will collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and oversee new hire onboarding materials, ensuring the effective training of Specialists and Specialist 2's. The role requires strong analytical skills, with the ability to track processes, prepare reports for management, and identify opportunities for procedural change.

The Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist will work closely with other departments, serving as a key point of contact for audit and client issues. The ability to resolve errors and handle exceptions of limited risk and complexity is essential, as is the ability to think critically and implement plans to improve performance and efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Manage daily functions and processes, including payment posting, invoicing, and offset analysis
  • Identify discrepancies, analyze issues, and implement solutions to ensure timely payment posting
  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to develop and oversee new hire onboarding materials
  • Track processes, prepare reports for management, and identify opportunities for procedural change
  • Resolve errors and handle exceptions of limited risk and complexity
  • Post adjustment transactions to collection system and client's system
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements with cash posting database
  • Prepare and record financial transactions for assigned accounts
  • Ensure daily deposit reconciliation and maintain daily, monthly reporting for audit purposes
  • Research and distribute payments with no apparent invoice number or date-of-service
  • Maintain thorough and detailed knowledge of compliance and recovery laws and regulations

  • Knowledge of compliance and recovery laws and regulations
