About the Role
The Senior Sales Account Executive role at Hire Digital is a key position that involves driving new business revenue and growing strategic existing accounts across the banking and financial services markets globally. This role requires a commercially driven individual with strong experience in B2B sales, enterprise sales, or business development. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the banking and financial services sector, including fintech, financial media, and data/intelligence platforms.As a Senior Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing full sales cycles from prospecting through closure, engaging with senior banking stakeholders and commercial decision-makers, and developing and executing strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth. You will be working closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and expand existing relationships.
The role is based in Australia, but you will be working with international markets and time zones, requiring a high level of self-direction and flexibility. If you have a strong network within the banking and financial services sector and experience with financial media, awards, sponsorship, or conference sales, you will be highly competitive for this position.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth and expand existing relationships
- Manage full sales cycles from prospecting through closure, including needs analysis, product demos, and contract negotiations
- Engage with senior banking stakeholders and commercial decision-makers to build strong relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales strategies
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the banking and financial services sector, including fintech, financial media, and data/intelligence platforms
- Utilize CRM platforms and pipeline management tools to track sales activity and performance
- Provide regular sales reports and insights to the sales team and management
- Participate in sales meetings and conferences to stay connected with industry professionals and thought leaders
What We Are Looking For
- At least 5-8 years of B2B sales, enterprise sales, or business development experience
- Strong experience in one or more of the following sectors: banking, fintech, financial media, data/intelligence platforms, or enterprise B2B sales
- Demonstrated success in new logo acquisition and revenue growth
- Experience managing full sales cycles from prospecting through closure
- Strong networking skills and ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and pipeline management tools
- Self-directed and able to work independently in a remote work environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work across international markets and time zones
