## About the Role As a Senior Sales Engineer at Fivetran, you will play a critical role in driving customer expansion in the ASEAN region. You will work closely with the sales team to identify high-impact expansion opportunities and develop strategic plans to pursue them. With your expertise in data replication, cloud data warehousing, and data lakehouses, you will be the technical pivot point for Fivetran's continued dominance in Southeast Asia.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with Account Managers to build faster, more secure data foundations that enable customers to win in the era of AI. You will also work with customers to evolve their legacy architectures to support modern cloud-scale volumes and hybrid-cloud environments. As a thought leader in the ASEAN data community, you will produce technical content, lead bespoke training, and mentor partner teams on Fivetran's competitive edge.

Fivetran is the backbone of the modern data stack, powering Open Data Infrastructure for thousands of global enterprises. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be at the forefront of a booming market, driving digital transformation for Fivetran's most strategic existing customers.

## What You Will Do - Drive technical win for expansion: Lead technical discovery and solution design for upsell and cross-sell motions across a high-value Commercial/Enterprise account base.

• Strategic partnership: Collaborate with Account Managers and Customer Success Managers to interpret usage signals and identify trigger events for expansion.
• Architect for scale: Help customers evolve their legacy architectures to support modern cloud-scale volumes and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Champion the platform: Position the value of Fivetran's high-volume agents and enterprise-grade security to technical stakeholders and C-suite executives.
• Community and enablement: Act as a thought leader in the ASEAN data community, producing technical content, leading bespoke training, and mentoring partner teams on Fivetran's competitive edge.
• Regional expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the ASEAN business landscape to navigate complex, multi-faceted decision-making groups.
• Technical innovation: Identify whitespace for new data pipelines, from real-time analytics to GenAI readiness.
• Product evangelism: Introduce advanced connectors and new platform capabilities to customers.

## What We Are Looking For - 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, with a focus on data integration, cloud data warehousing, and data lakehouses.

• Strong technical expertise in data replication, CDC, ELT/ETL, and cloud data warehousing.
• Experience working with large enterprise customers, preferably in the ASEAN region.
• Strong understanding of the ASEAN business landscape and the ability to navigate complex decision-making groups.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong partner ecosystem skills, with the ability to work with partners to drive customer success.
• Experience with data pipeline architecture and data security.

## Nice to Have - Experience with Fivetran's data integration platform.

• Knowledge of machine learning and AI technologies.
• Experience working with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Certification in data engineering or a related field.
