About the Role

Fivetran is seeking a talented Senior Sales Engineer to join its Enterprise, Existing Business sales team. This role entails working closely with the sales team to understand the complex business needs of Enterprise customers and showcasing how Fivetran's data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to provide technical expertise and support a regimented proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technical presentations to Enterprise audiences and ensuring the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process. You will also work cross-functionally with internal counterparts to build and maintain a holistic account ownership plan. Fivetran's mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. With a strong preference for candidates based in the Central and East Coast time zones, this full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to work with a company that is revolutionizing the way businesses access and utilize their data.

What You Will Do

  • Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business, use cases, and data replication requirements
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences
  • Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process
  • Work cross-functionally with internal counterparts to build and maintain a holistic account ownership plan
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the industry
  • Collaborate with Fivetran's Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of solutions with Enterprise customer needs
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team
  • Identify technical requirements and support a regimented proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to support large Enterprise customers
  • Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies
  • Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, Grafana, Linux, Windows, and Python
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners

  • Experience with data pipeline development and management
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Certification in data engineering or a related field
