About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer position at Fivetran is a critical component of the Enterprise sales team, focusing on existing business. This role involves working closely with the sales team to understand the complex business needs of Enterprise customers and showcasing how Fivetran's data replication solutions can help achieve desired business outcomes. A key aspect of this position is providing technical expertise, identifying technical requirements, and supporting a structured proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners, ensuring alignment of Fivetran's solutions with customer needs, and staying up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the industry. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business, use cases, and data replication requirements.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences, highlighting the value of Fivetran's solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal counterparts, including Account Executives, Professional Services, Business Development Representatives, marketing, and support teams, to build and maintain a holistic account ownership plan.
- Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process, which includes demonstrating the capabilities of Fivetran's data replication solutions and addressing any technical concerns of the customers.
- Work closely with Fivetran's Product and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of solutions with Enterprise customer needs, providing feedback from the field to inform product development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners, serving as a technical liaison and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in data analytics, data replication, and cloud infrastructure, applying this knowledge to improve sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Participate in sales calls, product demos, and proof-of-concept presentations to prospective customers, leveraging technical expertise to address customer questions and objections.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion within existing customer bases.
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field, with a proven track record of success in complex sales environments.
- Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally to support large enterprise customers, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations to enterprise audiences, with a keen ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience with technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, and Grafana, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

- Experience with data integration platforms and ETL tools, with knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
- Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and Python, with the ability to script and automate tasks.
