About the Role

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Fivetran, you will be instrumental in driving the company's enterprise sales efforts by providing technical expertise to large-scale customers. Your primary focus will be on understanding the complex business needs of these customers and showcasing how Fivetran's data replication solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes. This role is crucial for the company's continued growth and success in the data management sector.

You will work closely with the sales team to identify technical requirements and support a rigorous proof-of-value process throughout the sales cycle. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be invaluable in this position.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Enterprise customers to understand their business, use cases, and data replication requirements
  • Develop and maintain a holistic account ownership plan by working cross-functionally with internal counterparts, including Account Executives, Professional Services, Business Development Representatives, marketing, and support
  • Design and deliver technical presentations to Enterprise audiences, highlighting the value of Fivetran's data replication solutions
  • Ensure technical wins by running a tight proof-of-value process, aligning Fivetran's solutions with customer needs
  • Work closely with Fivetran's Product and Engineering teams to align solutions with Enterprise customer needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in the data replication and management industry
  • Provide feedback to the Product and Engineering teams based on customer interactions and market trends
  • Participate in sales strategy sessions to contribute technical insights and recommendations

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to support large enterprise customers
  • Strong technical background covering database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies
  • Experience with modern data analytics technologies, including cloud data warehouses, transformation tooling, data catalogs, and BI tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
  • Experience working with AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Kafka, and Grafana
  • Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and Python
