About the Role

The Senior Sales Engineer position at Fivetran is a critical link between the company's innovative data replication solutions and its enterprise customers. Day-to-day, this role involves working closely with the sales team to understand complex business needs and tailor Fivetran's solutions to help customers achieve their desired outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with the ability to provide expertise in data replication and integration, as well as experience in developing and delivering functional and technical presentations to enterprise audiences.

As part of the Enterprise sales team, the Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving the technical win by running a proof-of-value process, ensuring that Fivetran's solutions align with the customer's requirements. This involves collaborating with various teams, including Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering, to guarantee that the solutions provided meet the high standards of Fivetran's customers.

What You Will Do

  • Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business requirements, use cases, and data replication needs
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations to enterprise audiences, showcasing Fivetran's data replication solutions
  • Ensure technical win by managing the proof-of-value process effectively
  • Collaborate with Fivetran's Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key enterprise customers and partners
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in the data integration industry
  • Provide support for sales efforts by demonstrating the value of Fivetran's solutions
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies and tactics to increase sales effectiveness
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and research
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and tools to enhance sales efficiency

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in selling IT services or products in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of at least one relational database management system (RDBMS)
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with various teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with enterprise customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies
