About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer role at Fivetran is a critical component of the company's enterprise sales team. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will work closely with the sales team to understand the complex business needs of enterprise customers and develop tailored solutions to meet those needs. Your expertise in data replication, cloud data warehousing, and enterprise sales will be essential in driving business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the data replication landscape, including technologies such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, and BigQuery. You will be responsible for developing and delivering technical presentations to enterprise audiences, ensuring the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process, and working closely with Fivetran's Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise customer needs. - Work with Enterprise customers to understand their business requirements, use cases, and data replication requirements
- Develop and deliver functional and technical presentations to Enterprise audiences
- Ensure the technical win by running a tight proof-of-value process
- Work closely with Fivetran's Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment of solutions with enterprise customer needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in the data replication and cloud data warehousing spaces
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
- Provide technical expertise and support to the sales team, including product demonstrations and proof-of-concept development
- Work with customers to identify and prioritize their data replication needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience selling IT services or products in an enterprise or similarly complex environment
- Working knowledge of at least one relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or Sybase
- Experience interacting with databases, including basic troubleshooting, logging/archiving, and installation/administration
- Working knowledge of at least one cloud data warehouse platform (CDW)
- Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise customer requirements
- Strong technical sales skills, including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with data replication technologies, including Fivetran's data replication solutions
- Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes, including account planning, needs analysis, and solution development
Nice to Have
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or R
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
- Experience with cloud-based data integration platforms, including AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Data Fusion
- Certification in data replication, cloud data warehousing, or related technologies
