## About the Role The Senior Sales Engineer at Fivetran plays a pivotal role in the company's mission to simplify data access for its enterprise customers. This position involves working closely with the sales team to understand complex business needs and demonstrate how Fivetran's data replication solutions can help achieve desired business outcomes. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be the technical expert in the sales process, responsible for providing proof-of-value and ensuring that Fivetran's solutions meet the customer's requirements. This involves developing and delivering technical presentations, running proof-of-value processes, and working with various stakeholders across the organization.

## What You Will Do - Work closely with the sales team to understand enterprise customer needs and develop tailored solutions - Develop and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate Fivetran's value proposition - Run proof-of-value processes to ensure technical win and alignment with customer requirements - Collaborate with Fivetran's Product, Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to ensure solution alignment with customer needs - Develop and maintain relationships with key enterprise customers and partners - Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the data integration and cloud data warehouse markets - Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking and outbound efforts - Work with the sales team to develop and execute account plans for strategic customers - Provide training and support to the sales team on Fivetran's products and technologies - Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to promote Fivetran's solutions - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitor solutions and market trends
## What We Are Looking For - At least 5 years of experience selling IT services or products in an enterprise or similarly complex environment - Working knowledge of at least one relational database management system (RDBMS) such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, or Sybase - Experience interacting with databases, including basic troubleshooting, knowledge of logging/archiving, or installation/administration - Working knowledge of at least one cloud data warehouse platform (CDW) - Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Post-Sales Services, Support, and Engineering teams to align solutions with enterprise customer requirements - Strong technical presentation and communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities - Experience with data integration technologies and cloud-based data platforms - Strong understanding of data-driven business outcomes and the ability to communicate these to technical and non-technical stakeholders
## Nice to Have - Experience with data replication solutions and data pipeline technologies - Knowledge of cloud-based data integration platforms and tools - Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices - Experience working with remote teams and stakeholders
