About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer position at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is a remote role based in the United States, requiring less than 50% travel. This position is crucial for providing sales leadership for FACTS & HVDC solutions, leading business development, sales, and customer support processes within the Substation Division. The successful candidate will report to the Substation Division Product Line Manager – FACTS and HVDC.The role entails working closely with regional sales managers, manufacturers' representatives, and other stakeholders to identify and pursue bidding opportunities for FACTS and HVDC solutions. It also involves developing customer-specific strategies to strengthen the value proposition of Mitsubishi Electric's solutions over competitors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of substation layouts, FACTS and HVDC solutions, and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

What You Will Do
- Work with regional sales managers, MELCO, manufacturers' representatives, and other stakeholders to obtain bidding opportunities for FACTS and HVDC solutions.
- Develop customer-specific strategies to strengthen the value proposition of Mitsubishi Electric's solutions over competitors.
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial budgetary and firm proposals for products/services in response to customer interest, need, and RFQs.
- Conduct sales calls, product demonstrations, and presentations to existing and potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at customer organizations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and new technologies that could impact the sales of FACTS and HVDC solutions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and marketing teams, to align sales strategies with company objectives.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer interactions and market insights.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote Mitsubishi Electric's solutions and establish thought leadership.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of sales experience in electrical equipment or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of substation layouts.
- Advanced knowledge of FACTS and HVDC solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and product management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales automation tools.
