What You Will Do

  • Provide technical support to customers during the trial phase, communicating the value of Datadog's products and addressing any identified issues or concerns
  • Technically close complex sales opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility
  • Develop and maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM, ensuring that customer interactions and sales activities are properly documented
  • Proactively engage with customers and internal teams to gather feedback, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to drive sales growth and revenue expansion
  • Develop and execute evaluation plans with customers, educating them on observability risks and the benefits of Datadog's products
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging technical expertise and sales acumen to drive revenue growth

What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or DevOps engineering role, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong technical skills, including programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, and .NET
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with customers to develop and execute sales strategies, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth
  • Ability to travel up to 45% of the time, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and articulate the business benefits and technical advantages of Datadog's products
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
