About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer position at Zscaler is a critical component of the company's sales strategy, focused on driving revenue growth through the adoption of Zscaler's cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform. As a key member of the Majors West team, you will be responsible for delivering technical product presentations, gathering customer requirements, and leading product evaluations to ensure proposed solutions meet customer goals. The role involves close collaboration with the sales team, customer success managers, and solution architects to demonstrate the power and agility of Zscaler's cloud transformation capabilities.The day-to-day responsibilities of this role are dynamic, with a focus on building deep empathy for customers and anchoring decisions in solving their real-world problems. You will navigate seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution, leveraging your technical expertise to navigate complex sales ecosystems and drive customer satisfaction.
What You Will Do
- Create and deliver technical product presentations to prospective customers, highlighting the value proposition of Zscaler's cloud-native Zero Trust Exchange platform
- Gather customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions will meet customer goals and needs
- Lead product evaluations and custom product configurations, working closely with the sales team and customer success managers
- Design evaluation test plans with customers and guide the process to successful outcomes
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans, identifying new sales opportunities and expanding existing relationships
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Zscaler's products and services, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud security and cybersecurity
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major accounts, fostering trust and driving long-term partnerships
- Work closely with the solution architects and sales engineers to develop and deliver custom solutions that meet customer needs
- Participate in sales forecasting, account planning, and revenue growth initiatives
- Provide feedback to the product development team on customer requirements and market trends
What We Are Looking For
- 7+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Network Systems integrator, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent working experience
- Proven cybersecurity and networking technical background with hands-on experience in network fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, and firewalls
- Strong understanding of cloud security and cybersecurity trends, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales ecosystems and drive customer satisfaction
- Experience working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a strong focus on customer obsession and accountability
Nice to Have
- Industry standard certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+
- Experience working with cloud-based security solutions, with a deep understanding of the benefits and challenges of cloud adoption
