About the Role
As a Senior Sales Engineer at Datadog, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth through your technical expertise and ability to work closely with the sales team. Your day-to-day will involve providing technical guidance and support to potential clients, demonstrating the capabilities of Datadog's products, and working to understand and address the technical needs of prospective customers. What You Will Do
- Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team to help close deals
- Conduct product demonstrations and proofs of concept for potential customers
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute account plans
- Work with customers to understand their technical needs and develop solutions
- Participate in RFP responses and other sales-related activities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's products and services
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity
- Assist in the development of sales enablement tools and content
- Participate in sales strategy and planning sessions
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or other business purposes
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a sales engineering or similar role
- Strong technical background, with experience in cloud computing, software development, or a related field
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with sales teams to drive revenue growth
- Knowledge of Datadog's products and services or similar technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with sales tools and technologies, such as CRM and sales automation platforms
- Strong understanding of customer needs and pain points
