About the Role
The Senior Sales Engineer position at WekaIO is a critical component of the company's rapidly growing sales organization. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about technology and have a knack for understanding and addressing complex customer needs. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be at the forefront of WekaIO's efforts to revolutionize enterprise data infrastructure, working closely with customers to leverage the value and performance that WekaIO can provide to their businesses and applications.Day-to-day, you will engage with customers and partners to educate them on the technical aspects of WekaIO's solutions, assist with evaluations and system configurations, and build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and demos. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping customers navigate the complexities of high-performance data infrastructure and in identifying opportunities where WekaIO's innovative approach can make a significant impact.

What You Will Do
- Meet with customers and partners to educate them on the technical aspects of WekaIO
- Assist with evaluations and system configurations
- Build and deliver technical product and architecture presentations and demos
- Become the advocate for WekaIO customers and bring feedback back to the R&D and product management organizations
- Act as a technical adviser to your customers, periodically reviewing their status and informing them of possible improvements
- Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on WekaIO and its ecosystem
- Contribute to or lead responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Help in the creation and maintenance of Q&A’s, best practices, and other technical documentation
- Participate in performance demonstrations and analysis
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities
What We Are Looking For
- Familiarity with high-performance IO workloads
- Extensive background in filesystems, including experience with NFS, SMB, and distributed parallel file systems
- Strong knowledge of Linux OS
- Understanding of data center networking
- Experience with performance demonstrations and analysis
- Prior experience working at a startup company (advantageous)
- Experience with running workloads in cloud hypervisors such as AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP
- Knowledge and experience in configuring and using Kubernetes
- Scripting abilities (advantageous)
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills

- Experience in a sales engineering role within the tech industry

- Experience with agile development methodologies
