About the Role
Fivetran is seeking a Senior Sales Engineering Specialist to join its global team, focusing on hybrid deployment architecture. As a key member of the sales engineering team, you will work closely with sales, field sales engineering, and cross-functional teams to drive customer adoption and understanding of Fivetran's hybrid deployment model. This model is built on containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman, and your expertise in these areas will be crucial in accelerating customer deployments and ensuring comprehensive support.The role is remote, based in the United States, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while being part of a dynamic and growing company. What You Will Do
- Create, secure, network, and validate containerized hybrid deployment data pipeline architectures in conjunction with customers, account executives, and field sales engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Fivetran's Product and engineering teams to ensure Hybrid Deployment capabilities are fit for purpose, secure, cost-effective, and well-implemented.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends in containerization, security, autoscaling, and secure data management.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities through strategic planning and execution.
- Provide pre-sales support, including proof-of-concepts, trials, and pilots, to prospective customers.
- Develop and maintain deep technical relationships with key customer personnel.
- Participate in the development of sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth.
- Assist in the creation of sales collateral, such as datasheets, whitepapers, and case studies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
What We Are Looking For
- 2+ years of extensive work with Kubernetes or Docker, and/or other container technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, especially their Kubernetes managed services.
- Strong understanding of data architecture considerations, including databases, high availability, SaaS applications, and cloud data warehouses.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably in a sales engineering or similar role.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for customer meetings, conferences, and other sales engineering activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop creative solutions.
- Experience with data integration platforms, deployment, and connectivity methods.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Fivetran's data integration platform or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices for containerized environments.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
- Certification in containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes or Docker.
