About the Role

The Senior Sales Operations Consultant role at Vonage is a critical position that requires a unique blend of analytical skills, business acumen, and collaboration. As a key operational partner to the API Sales organization, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant execution of sales commission processes, quota management, and operational reporting. This role works at the intersection of Sales, Finance, HR, and BI, providing the analytical rigor and process discipline that underpins sales performance and compensation integrity across the API Business Unit.

Day-to-day, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements. Your expertise in sales compensation, data analysis, and project management will be essential in navigating the complexities of this role. You will be comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, global environment and be able to communicate complex ideas and data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Own end-to-end commission management for the API Business Unit, including calculation, processing, plan transitions, and UAT testing in Xactly Incent
  • Maintain HR commission files weekly, including new joiners, LOAs, promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Support quota planning and management, including quota assignments by region and rep, adjustments, and ramp-up configurations
  • Prepare and distribute reports and analytics, including commission payouts, attainment summaries, and budget vs. actuals for Sales and Finance leadership
  • Act as primary point of contact for Sales, Finance, and HR on all commission and quota matters, driving process improvements and ensuring compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track sales performance and provide data-driven insights
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on commission and quota management

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Sales Compensation, or a related analytical role
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end commission processes, including plan administration and payout calculations
  • Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, including advanced formulas, data modeling, and pivot tables
  • Experience working with commission management platforms (Xactly Incent preferred) and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a track record of high accuracy in data-intensive environments
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex compensation rules clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced, global organization
  • Experience in a CPaaS, SaaS, or technology company (preferred)
  • Familiarity with API/Communications products and sales motions (preferred)

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting commission plan design or year-over-year plan transitions
  • Exposure to BI tools such as Tableau
  • Experience working with Adjust (preferred)
  • Certification in sales operations or a related field (preferred)
