About the Role
The Senior Sales Strategy Manager position at Samsara is a critical role that drives strategic initiatives to support top-line revenue growth for new product launches. As a key member of the Sales Strategy team, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop long-term sales strategies, assess market needs, and manage in-year execution. Your focus will be on organizing and leading complex, mission-critical priorities to grow the business, with a particular emphasis on new products that deliver value to customers.This role is part of a New Product Pod, a cross-functional team fully dedicated to ensuring the success and scalability of new products. You will collaborate with leadership from across the business to develop strategic and business cases, outlining business opportunities, rationales, and operational plans to grow new products. Your ability to bring the voice of the customer to the organization, understanding market trends, and customer feedback, will be invaluable in guiding investment decisions.
What You Will Do
- Lead the GTM sales strategy and execution for one or more new product launches
- Own an end-to-end strategic understanding of what it takes to make priority new products successful
- Coordinate New Product Pod efforts and executive messaging
- Lead mission-critical new product strategic initiatives in support of Samsara’s long-term growth
- Work cross-functionally to structure problems, develop hypotheses, conduct analyses, and drive solutions
- Bring the voice of the customer to the organization, understanding key market, industry, customer trends, and customer/partner feedback
- Develop strategic and business cases working with cross-functional teams
- Uncover areas to drive performance improvements and unlock productivity
- Support 3-year and annual planning needs, including generating insights to inform investment of resources for new products
- Present to Samsara leadership on topics related to new product growth
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and other GTM functions to build trusted relationships
