About the Role
The Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer is a critical role at Sezzle, tasked with strengthening the company's security posture across cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows. What You Will Do
- Identify and mitigate security risks across cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect against threats
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the development process
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure prompt and effective response to security incidents
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security is a top priority across the organization
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
- Develop and maintain security documentation and training programs
- Conduct security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards
- Collaborate with external security experts and vendors to stay ahead of emerging threats
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in security infrastructure engineering or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of cloud security, including AWS or Azure
- Strong understanding of security protocols, including SSL/TLS, HTTPS, and SSH
- Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
- Experience with security tools, such as Splunk, ELK, or Nagios
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools
