About the Role

The Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer is a critical role at Sezzle, tasked with strengthening the company's security posture across cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows. As a key member of the security team, the Senior Security Infrastructure Engineer will have a high degree of ownership and autonomy to identify risks, investigate issues, and drive meaningful security improvements across Sezzle's systems. What You Will Do

  • Identify and mitigate security risks across cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect against threats
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the development process
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure prompt and effective response to security incidents
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure security is a top priority across the organization
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
  • Develop and maintain security documentation and training programs
  • Conduct security audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards
  • Collaborate with external security experts and vendors to stay ahead of emerging threats

What We Are Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience in security infrastructure engineering or a related field
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud security, including AWS or Azure
  • Strong understanding of security protocols, including SSL/TLS, HTTPS, and SSH
  • Experience with security frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Experience with security tools, such as Splunk, ELK, or Nagios
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab
