About the Role

The Senior Security Regulatory Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in Twilio's trust mission, reporting directly into the Strategy & Operations organization. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills to ensure Twilio's global communications platform remains trusted, compliant, and performing at its peak.

As a key member of the Security Compliance Regulatory Affairs team, you will act as the connective tissue between corporate strategy, legal counsel, and security compliance. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve monitoring and prioritizing new and evolving cybersecurity regulations, translating complex requirements into actionable business impacts, and driving awareness of security regulatory compliance requirements across the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with Security Compliance Regulatory Affairs to execute a unified security regulatory strategy that balances long-term global trends with Twilio's immediate operational needs
  • Monitor, identify, and prioritize new and evolving cybersecurity regulations, including telecom-specific mandates
  • Translate complex requirements into actionable business impacts
  • Manage weekly compliance-focused operating rhythm, triaging regulatory developments and escalating critical security risks to senior leadership
  • Define the scope of applicability for how Twilio operates and facilitate adherence with security requirements that cross functional boundaries across the business
  • Work in unison with Cybersecurity Counsel and the Security Compliance Regulatory Affairs team to identify, prioritize, and operationalize changes in the global security regulatory landscape
  • Drive awareness of security regulatory compliance requirements across the organization
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including legal, privacy, and business teams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security regulatory requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in security regulatory compliance, preferably in the telecom or technology industry
  • Strong knowledge of global security regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA
  • Experience with GTM and Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, law, or business

Nice to Have

  • Experience with security compliance frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001
  • Knowledge of cloud security and compliance
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Certification in security or compliance, such as CISSP or CCEP
