About the Role
The Senior ServiceNow App Engine Developer plays a pivotal role in the successful design and deployment of ServiceNow solutions for clients. This involves working closely with Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to understand and document business outcomes and functional requirements, translating them into effective ServiceNow solution designs. The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence to contribute significantly to project success and client satisfaction. As a senior developer, you will work both independently and collaboratively based on project needs, leveraging your experience and skills to drive projects forward. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States, provided you have the necessary clearance and citizenship requirements.What You Will Do
- Design, configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications to meet specific client business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with designed requirements and adherence to industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain complex scripts, business rules, and UI policies.
- Support data migration design and activities from legacy systems to ServiceNow, focusing on data accuracy and consistency.
- Validate that data is migrated to the most beneficial ServiceNow data structures, utilizing out-of-the-box data schemas before customizing tables and fields.
- Assist in the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless end-to-end processes.
- Create detailed documentation of configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions.
- Conduct thorough testing of ServiceNow configurations to validate functionality, data integrity, and user experience.
- Address issues and perform necessary adjustments to ensure solutions meet desired outcomes.
- Support end-user training for a smooth adoption of implemented solutions.
- Assist in change management efforts, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementations, collaborating with support teams for timely resolutions.
- Adhere to security best practices, ensuring implemented solutions meet relevant compliance requirements.
What We Are Looking For
- US Citizenship is required for this position.
- Ability to obtain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
- Must reside in the United States, with work performed in the U.S.
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.
- 1+ year of experience in scope and design of ServiceNow applications.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow modules and applications.
- Experience with data migration, integration, and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
