About the Role
The Senior ServiceNow Developer role at Leidos is a unique opportunity to work on the development and maintenance of ServiceNow solutions, utilizing modern web technologies and ITIL processes. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience. The role is part of the Digital Modernization Sector, which is focused on delivering end-user centric IT technology solutions to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).The team is responsible for providing proactive and secure development of IT integrations, concepts, and designs across the CMS enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Knowledge, and ITOM. The role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, as well as the ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment.

What You Will Do
- Develop custom workflows utilizing modern web technologies, including JavaScript and HTML5
- Configure out-of-the-box workflows and create/maintain custom workflows
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party partners
- Rapidly prototype new solutions
- Design and develop solutions that leverage ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, Knowledge, and ITOM
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Orchestrate and automate tasks
- Responsible for the design and build of ServiceNow Applications and integration to other applications and platforms
- Collaborate with business and IT teams to gather input to support ongoing business needs for ServiceNow configuration, implementation, and support
- Review and apply any additional UI/UX requirements from external and internal teams
- Develop user-friendly catalog items with experience writing orchestration workflows
- Utilize available programming methodologies and languages, adhering to coding standards, procedures, and techniques
- Contribute to technical code documentation
- Support data migration as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
- At least 6 years of experience with the design, development, and support of technology infrastructure
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- At least 4 years of ServiceNow development experience
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules
Nice to Have
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, including AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Experience with data migration and integration
