About the Role
As a Senior Site Civil Engineer at ms consultants, you will play a crucial role in the company's Land Development team, working on a diverse portfolio of projects that include single-family and multi-family residential communities, commercial developments, municipal facilities, and urban redevelopment initiatives. Your expertise will be invaluable in driving the design and development of engineering plans for various projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and sustainability.The Land Development team at ms consultants is a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment where you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals from various disciplines. In this role, you will be responsible for performing site grading, storm sewer design, and stormwater management calculations, among other tasks. Your ability to collaborate with internal teams and coordinate project execution across disciplines will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects.
What You Will Do
- Design and develop engineering plans for retail, commercial, residential, and municipal projects
- Perform site grading, storm sewer design, and stormwater management calculations
- Support projects from initial due diligence through construction completion
- Collaborate with internal teams and coordinate project execution across disciplines
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specifications
- Prepare and review technical reports, design plans, and other project documentation
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in civil engineering
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience with site development documentation and permitting processes
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with PondPack and HydroCAD (or similar hydrology/hydraulics software)
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Experience with GIS and mapping technologies
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green infrastructure
