About the Role

The Senior Software Developer position at Datasite is a US-remote opportunity that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. As a senior developer, you will lead projects, drive technical decisions, and build scalable platform systems with an AI-first mindset. Your primary focus will be on API and partner integrations, enabling intelligent, API-driven experiences and partner integrations.

As a senior developer, you will be responsible for guiding technical decisions, developing flexible roadmaps, and driving architectural improvements that scale AI workloads, reduce operational overhead, and improve reliability across APIs and platform services.

What You Will Do

  • Lead projects and drive technical decisions to deliver scalable platform systems with an AI-first mindset
  • Develop and maintain API-driven experiences and partner integrations, including MCP, marketplace, and discovery services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and partner teams, to deliver AI-first, integration-ready solutions
  • Guide technical decisions that incorporate AI-enabled capabilities into core platform services and partner integrations
  • Drive architectural improvements that scale AI workloads, reduce operational overhead, and improve reliability across APIs and platform services
  • Maintain adaptable technical plans, enabling rapid iteration in uncertain, high-velocity environments
  • Identify and drive cross-platform improvements that enhance developer and partner experiences
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly, translating AI and platform design trade-offs for diverse stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance that ensures alignment, simplicity, and consistency across teams and integrations
  • Evaluate trade-offs across speed, cost, accuracy, and scalability, especially in AI-enabled and partner-driven solutions

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on API and partner integrations
  • Strong expertise in AI-assisted or AI-enabled development, including LLM APIs, automation workflows, and intelligent orchestration
  • Experience with programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt in ambiguity, and move with urgency
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and drive technical decisions
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
