About the Role
The Senior Software Engineer role at Ramp is a unique opportunity to work on the company's GTM platform and backend tools, leveraging expertise in Google Ads and programmatic advertising to drive business growth. As a key member of the Web Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the platforms that support Ramp's marketing efforts, including the company's website and internal applications. The team's focus on innovation and automation means that you will have the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, such as AI-assisted landing page creation and self-improving experimentation tooling.The Web Engineering team at Ramp is a lean and agile group that owns the ramp.com website and associated tooling end-to-end. Recent projects have included the development of an in-house A/B experimentation platform and an Ad-Agent to programmatically run Meta and Google ads. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the team's roadmap forward, partnering with marketers, designers, and product managers to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that meet their needs.

What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain the GTM platform and backend tools, including the company's website and internal applications
- Collaborate with marketers, designers, and product managers to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions that meet their needs
- Partner with the Web Engineering team to drive the company's roadmap forward, focusing on innovation and automation
- Work on cutting-edge projects, such as AI-assisted landing page creation and self-improving experimentation tooling
- Develop and maintain the company's in-house A/B experimentation platform and Ad-Agent
- Contribute to the development of new features and tools, such as an MCP integrated directly with the design system and Prototyper app
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop tools that can help to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Set the bar for velocity and quality, shipping high-quality code at a rapid pace
- Reduce the team's ticket burden by making requests unnecessary, focusing on proactive solutions rather than reactive fixes
What We Are Looking For
- 4+ years of product engineering experience, ideally at a high-growth tech company
- Demonstrated track record of building internal tools or platforms that have materially reduced repetitive workflows for non-engineers
- Experience with Google Ads and programmatic advertising
- Strong proficiency in backend development languages, such as Java or Python
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns and testing methodologies
- Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as machine learning frameworks
- Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, including monitoring and logging
