About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Mighty Networks, you'll be part of a small, high-impact team focused on payments and monetization. Your work will directly impact the company's Gross Transaction Volume, and you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of engineers who value speed, ownership, and delivering real products to users quickly. The role is remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the world, and you'll be integral to the development of the company's community platform.

The role of Senior Software Engineer is critical to the company's success, and you'll be responsible for building and improving systems for checkout, subscriptions, billing, and plan management. You'll work across the stack, from backend systems that power billing and subscriptions to frontend experiences that drive conversion.

What You Will Do

  • Own full features across payments and monetization, from definition through deployment
  • Build and improve systems for checkout, subscriptions, billing, and plan management
  • Work across backend and frontend to deliver a seamless purchasing experience
  • Integrate and evolve third-party services to support the company's growth
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to continuously improve the platform's performance and scalability
  • Use AI to accelerate workflow and ship to production continuously
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, readable, and well-documented code
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that the engineering team is following best practices
  • Work with the product team to define and prioritize features and requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++
  • Experience with backend systems, including billing and subscription management
  • Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React or Angular
  • Experience with database management systems such as MySQL or MongoDB
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI and machine learning technologies
  • Knowledge of cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud
