About the Role

What You Will Do
- Design and implement backend services using Python and cloud-based technologies
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall reliability and performance of Very LLC's systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and engineering
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure applications that support critical customer and business needs
- Support applications in production through on-call rotations and proactive issue resolution
- Write production-grade Python and SQL code that meets high standards for maintainability, security, and observability
- Implement testing strategies and automation across the stack
- Identify and proactively address potential technical or operational risks before they impact customers
- Contribute to the overall engineering culture and growth of Very LLC
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python and cloud-based solutions
- Expertise in designing and implementing backend services using Python and cloud-based technologies
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and version control systems
- Experience with testing strategies and automation across the stack
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS and Azure
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical or operational risks
- Experience with code reviews and contributing to the overall reliability and performance of systems
Nice to Have
