About the Role

The Senior Solution Architect position at Fivetran represents a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of data integration and replication, working closely with a range of stakeholders from customers to internal teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful implementation, configuration, and optimization of Fivetran's platform and product suite, leveraging expertise in various applications, databases, data warehouses, and APIs. As a key member of the Services team, the Senior Solution Architect will facilitate the definition of requirements, architecture, and integration that fulfill customer needs, ensuring seamless data pipeline operations that enable analytics and AI/ML initiatives.

The role involves working directly with customer stakeholders to understand their data needs, design appropriate solutions, and ensure the delivery of well-governed data pipelines. This requires not only technical acumen but also strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Senior Solution Architect will also play a critical role in enabling customers to take ownership of their Fivetran installations, through the creation of enablement collateral and training.

What You Will Do

• Facilitate the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Fivetran's platform and product suite for enterprise customers.
• Work closely with customers to define requirements and design architectures that meet their data integration and replication needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers.
• Provide performance tuning and best-practice advice on source and target setup to customers.
• Troubleshoot issues and support use cases, ensuring that data pipelines are well-governed and optimized for analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
• Create enablement collateral and train customer teams to adopt Fivetran's software, ensuring a smooth transition to production environments.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in data integration, replication, and analytics, applying this knowledge to improve customer solutions and Fivetran's offerings.
• Participate in the development of Fivetran's knowledge base and internal training programs to improve the skills of the Services team.
• Contribute to the enhancement of Fivetran's products and services through feedback and insights gained from customer engagements.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience in data integration, replication, and analytics, preferably with cloud-based data warehouses and lakehouses.
• Deep understanding of databases (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SAP HANA) and data warehouses/lakehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Experience with data replication technologies and tools, including Fivetran.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to design and implement data architectures that meet customer requirements and are scalable, secure, and efficient.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Experience in creating documentation and training materials for technical audiences.

• Experience with open data infrastructure (e.g., open storage and table formats) and data activation workflows.
• Knowledge of emerging AI/ML technologies and their application in data-driven initiatives.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
