About the Role
The Senior Solution Architect role at Fivetran is a key position that facilitates the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Fivetran platform and product suite. As a technical expert, you will work directly with customer stakeholders to define requirements and design an architecture that fulfills those requirements. Your expertise in various applications, databases, data warehouses, and APIs will be essential in driving the success of Fivetran's customers.Fivetran's mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. To achieve this, the company has developed a range of data replication connectors that have been implemented across many of the world's largest enterprises. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring that these connectors are properly configured and optimized to meet the needs of Fivetran's customers.
You will be working closely with a range of internal stakeholders, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential in this role.
What You Will Do
- Facilitate the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Fivetran platform and product suite
- Define requirements and design an architecture that fulfills customer needs
- Work directly with customer stakeholders to ensure successful implementation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Provide best-practice advice on source and target setup and use
- Troubleshoot issues and support use cases where trusted, well-governed data pipelines enable analytics and emerging AI/ML initiatives
- Produce enablement collateral and train teams to adopt new software applications
- Optimize the implementation of Fivetran's data replication connectors
- Ensure that customers are properly configured and set up for success
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles
- Participate in sales calls and product demos to provide technical expertise
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role, preferably in data integration, data warehousing, or a related field
- Strong expertise in cloud databases, data warehouses, and APIs
- Experience working with data replication technologies and data integration tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development
- Strong understanding of data governance and security principles
- Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Fivetran's data replication connectors
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
