Job Description

About the Role

The Senior Solution Architect will play a crucial role in facilitating the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Fivetran's platform and product suite for large enterprise clients. This involves working directly with customer stakeholders to define requirements and architect integration solutions that meet their needs. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of various applications, databases, data warehouses, and APIs, as well as experience with data transformation, open data infrastructure, and data activation workflows.

The role is part of the Services team and will involve collaboration with a range of internal stakeholders, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers. As such, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Facilitate the implementation, configuration, and optimization of Fivetran's platform and product suite for large enterprise clients
  • Work directly with customer stakeholders to define requirements and architect integration solutions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Sales Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers
  • Provide expertise in various applications, databases, data warehouses, and APIs
  • Offer best-practice advice on source and target setup and use analytical skills to troubleshoot issues
  • Support use cases where trusted, well-governed data pipelines enable analytics and emerging AI/ML initiatives
  • Enable customers to take responsibility for the installation once it has been tested and is ready for deployment into a Production environment
  • Produce enablement collateral and training teams to adopt new software applications
  • Liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders on a wide range of topics

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, preferably in the data integration or related field
  • Deep understanding of various applications, databases, data warehouses, and APIs
  • Expertise in data transformation, open data infrastructure, and data activation workflows
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with Fivetran or similar data integration technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with on-premises and cloud databases, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SAP HANA

Nice to Have

  • Experience with on-premises and cloud data warehouses, including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift
  • Knowledge of Fivetran SaaS, Hybrid Deployment, and HVR (self-hosted) architectures
  • Certification in data integration or related field
  • Experience working with large enterprise clients
