About the Role

The Senior Solution Architect at Matillion plays a pivotal role in the company's GTM motion, utilizing technical expertise and solution selling skills to drive business value. This position involves working closely with customers to understand their requirements, demonstrating how Matillion's solutions can address their challenges, and fostering long-term relationships. As a key member of the team, the Senior Solution Architect will engage in high-level technical discussions, provide consultative support, and represent Matillion as a technical expert in the industry. Matillion's innovative approach to data integration, leveraging AI and automation, positions it uniquely in the market. What You Will Do

  • Discover customer requirements through technical and business pain diagnosis, confirming root causes and negative consequences.
  • Engage key stakeholders to confirm desired future states, mapping them to success metrics and business outcomes.
  • Support customer digital sales rooms, providing technical input and ensuring alignment between sales and technical teams.
  • Lead workshops, trials, or proof-of-concepts to validate solution fit with business objectives.
  • Position competitive advantages to influence trial success criteria.
  • Guide customer teams to integrate Matillion's solutions into their data stacks during trials, driving measurable business outcomes.
  • Support technical aspects of credit sizing estimates.
  • Actively support customer cadences and business review meetings, ensuring platform adoption and driving customer engagement.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for upselling and expansion, ensuring customers realize value by increasing platform consumption.
  • Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with customers through cadences, setting up technical infrastructure, and rapidly achieving first value.
  • Monitor adoption dashboards for key success indicators, proactively driving consumption upward and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Create technical content and case studies that demonstrate how Matillion's solutions address customer challenges.
  • Represent Matillion as a technical expert at industry events, conferences, and user groups, fostering a strong brand presence.
  • Collect and communicate customer feedback to the Product and Engineering teams, ensuring continuous product improvements and alignment with market needs.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5-7 years of experience working with Enterprise customers in a technical role, such as Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, or similar.
  • Expertise in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience with Cloud Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks).
  • In-depth understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
  • Hands-on experience with technical problem-solving and integration technologies (APIs, Linux, SQL).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Salesforce and GTM motion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
