About the Role
The Senior Solution Architect role at FPT Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is a hands-on position that leads architecture, presales, and delivery across modern application platforms. This role operates flexibly across presales, delivery, or both within a client engagement, shaping solutions, contributing to bids, and ensuring execution aligned to business outcomes. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will work with highly technical clients and strong offshore engineering teams, where your value is measured by depth of technical expertise, clarity of solution structuring, consulting, storytelling, and ability to influence outcomes from day one.The role requires a deep understanding of microservices and event-driven systems, as well as experience in designing and delivering systems at scale. You will be responsible for defining end-to-end architectures, applying architecture frameworks, design patterns, and well-architected principles. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring alignment to scalability, resilience, security, and performance expectations.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify relevant success stories, benchmarks, and modernization patterns. You will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing environment, where you will be self-driven, proactive, and outcome-focused.
What You Will Do
- Define end-to-end architectures using microservices and event-driven patterns
- Apply architecture frameworks, design patterns, and well-architected principles
- Design across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments
- Ensure alignment to scalability, resilience, security, and performance expectations
- Architect and deliver systems at scale (high-volume, low-latency, mission-critical enterprise platforms)
- Lead solutioning end-to-end in presales, including shaping proposals, defining architecture, and creating differentiated technical positioning
- Prototype, validate, and guide implementation using Spring Boot, Quarkus, REST/gRPC, .Net / Java
- Drive modernization: Monolith to Microservices, Batch to Event-driven, Legacy to cloud-native / cloud-ready
- Architect event-driven systems (Kafka / messaging / streaming)
- Solve distributed system challenges (failures, retries, scaling, latency)
- Collaborate with strong offshore engineering teams that require architectural depth and influencing through deep technical guidance
- Build compelling demos, POCs, and architecture artefacts proactively to support the solution proposal
What We Are Looking For
- 15+ years of experience in end-to-end SDLC with extensive hands-on architecture experience
- Proven track record of architecting, designing, and delivering microservices and event-driven systems at scale
- Experience across presales, solutioning, and delivery
- Good understanding of cloud-native, on-prem, and hybrid environments
- Strong expertise in microservices and event-driven patterns
- Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus, REST/gRPC, .Net / Java
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical leadership and influencing skills
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
Nice to Have
- Experience and expertise in AI, Data Architecture, Cyber Security, and Cloud Architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
- Experience with containerization using Docker
- Certification in cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
