About the Role
The Senior Solutions Architect position at Automat-it is a critical role that involves working closely with global startup customers to develop and implement tailored AWS solutions. As a key member of the pre-sales process, you will collaborate with account executives to understand customer needs and design solutions that meet their business requirements. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about cloud technology and have a strong understanding of AWS services, particularly Kubernetes and Containers.In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cost-efficient, highly available, and scalable solutions for customers. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge with customers and the cloud community through public speaking engagements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in an AWS environment and a deep understanding of DevOps and FinOps principles. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the growth and success of Automat-it.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and implement solutions to meet business requirements and create cost-efficient, highly available, and scalable solutions for customers
- Conduct Well-Architected reviews and SoW to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
- Research and analyze current solutions and initiate improvement plans
- Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
- Share your knowledge with customers and the cloud community by participating in public speaking engagements
- Work directly with global startup customers to develop AWS solutions
- Collaborate with account executives to understand customer needs and design solutions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners
- Travel frequently to meet with customers and partners and attend local events
What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance
- 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a production environment, developing software with either Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
- In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
- Understanding of Information Security best practices
- Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, with AWS Solutions Architect Professional or a specialty certification being an advantage
- Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
Nice to Have
- Experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and FinOps principles
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
