Senior Solutions Architect

About the Role

The role entails working closely with customers to understand their business requirements and developing solutions that meet their needs. You will also be responsible for conducting Well-Architected reviews and creating Statements of Work (SoW) that outline the scope, timeline, and deliverables for each project. As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to share your knowledge and expertise with junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for cloud architecture.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and implement AWS solutions for global startup customers, including scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including account executives, engineers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions
• Conduct Well-Architected reviews and create Statements of Work (SoW) that outline the scope, timeline, and deliverables for each project
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their business requirements and identifying opportunities for growth
• Share knowledge and expertise with junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices and standards for cloud architecture
• Participate in public speaking engagements, such as workshops, conferences, and webinars, to share knowledge and expertise with the cloud community
• Research and analyze current solutions and initiate improvement plans to ensure that solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of AWS services, including Kubernetes and Containers
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
• Proven experience in a production environment, developing software with either Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
• In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
• Successfully designed DevOps and Infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS
• Understanding of Information Security best practices
• Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers

• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or equivalent
