Senior Solutions Architect

About the Role

The role entails a deep understanding of AWS services, including Kubernetes and Containers, as well as experience in designing and developing solutions for high-scale production environments. You will be responsible for conducting Well-Architected reviews, creating cost-efficient solutions, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your ability to communicate technical designs effectively to customers and stakeholders will be essential in this role.

As a key member of the Automat-it team, you will have the opportunity to work with over 800 customers, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth and innovation. What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and implement AWS solutions for global startup customers, focusing on cost efficiency, high availability, and scalability
• Conduct Well-Architected reviews and create Statements of Work (SoW) for customers
• Collaborate with account executives and other stakeholders to ensure seamless solution implementation
• Research and analyze current solutions, initiating improvement plans to optimize performance and reduce costs
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design documents
• Participate in public speaking engagements, such as workshops, conferences, and webinars, to share knowledge with customers and the cloud community
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
• Travel frequently, both locally and internationally, to meet with customers, partners, and attend industry events
• Share knowledge and expertise with the Automat-it team, contributing to the company's growth and development
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and growth

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
• Proven experience in designing and developing solutions for high-scale production environments in AWS
• In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including Kubernetes and Containers
• Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, with a professional or specialty certification being an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivery

Nice to Have

• Experience with Python, Go, Java, or equivalent programming languages
• Knowledge of Information Security best practices and experience with security-related technologies
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
• Familiarity with cloud-based services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker
