Senior Solutions Architect

About the Role

The role requires a deep understanding of AWS services, including Kubernetes and Containers, as well as experience with DevOps tools and practices. You will be responsible for researching and analyzing current solutions, identifying areas for improvement, and developing plans to optimize them. Your expertise will also be shared with the cloud community through public speaking engagements, workshops, and webinars.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and implement AWS solutions for startup customers, including Well-Architected reviews and Statements of Work
• Research and analyze current solutions, identifying areas for improvement and developing plans to optimize them
• Collaborate with account executives and other engineers to ensure solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to customers and stakeholders, showcasing your expertise in AWS and cloud architecture
• Participate in public speaking engagements, workshops, and webinars to share your knowledge with the cloud community
• Travel frequently to meet with customers and partners, attend local events, and participate in conferences
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AWS and cloud architecture, applying this knowledge to continuously improve solutions and services
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and partners, identifying opportunities to expand Automat-it's services and solutions

What We Are Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance
• 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
• Proven experience in a production environment, developing software with languages such as Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
• In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
• Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, with a preference for AWS Solutions Architect Professional or specialty certifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers
• Ability to lead an end-to-end engagement with the account management team

Nice to Have

• Experience with FinOps and cost optimization techniques
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems
• Experience with cloud migration and deployment strategies
