About the Role

The Senior Solutions Architect position at Automat-it is a key role that involves working directly with global startup customers to design, develop, and implement AWS solutions that meet their business requirements. As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will be a crucial part of the pre-sales process, collaborating with account executives to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions. Your expertise in AWS and cloud architecture will be essential in creating cost-efficient, highly available, and scalable solutions for customers. You will also have the opportunity to share your knowledge with customers and the cloud community through public speaking engagements.

In this role, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and traveling frequently to meet with customers and partners. Your ability to communicate technical design effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be essential in this position. You will also have the opportunity to participate in professional training and certifications, including AWS, FinOps, and Kubernetes.

The Senior Solutions Architect role is a senior position that requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in AWS and cloud architecture. You will be expected to lead end-to-end engagements with the account management team and to collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that solutions are designed and developed according to best practices.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and implement AWS solutions for global startup customers, including Well-Architected reviews and Statements of Work
  • Collaborate with account executives to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions
  • Research and analyze current solutions and initiate improvement plans
  • Share your knowledge with customers and the cloud community through public speaking engagements
  • Participate in professional training and certifications, including AWS, FinOps, and Kubernetes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are designed and developed according to best practices
  • Travel frequently to meet with customers and partners
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for solutions
  • Ensure that solutions are designed and implemented according to AWS best practices
  • Collaborate with the account management team to develop and implement account plans

What We Are Looking For

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an AWS environment, including implementation, migration, and maintenance
  • 2+ years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as Customer Engineering, SRE, Cloud Architect, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT environment, including hands-on experience with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps tools
  • Proven experience in a production environment, developing software with either Python, Go, Java, or equivalents
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS's main services, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and Containers
  • Successfully designed DevOps and Infrastructure for high-scale production environments in AWS
  • Understanding of Information Security best practices
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect - Associate, with AWS Solutions Architect Professional or a specialty certification being an advantage
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical design in verbal and written formats in front of customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German

  • Experience with FinOps and cost optimization in AWS
  • Experience with machine learning and AI in AWS
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks such as ITIL
