Senior Solutions Architect, Financial Services

About the Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how Gitlab's platform addresses the technical, regulatory, and business needs of financial services customers. You will also drive the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop design, and support for the technical components of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to show how Gitlab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform addresses the technical, regulatory, and business needs of financial services customers
• Drive the technical evaluation process, including solution design, POC/POV ownership, workshop design, and support for the technical components of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape and execute account strategies that support new customer acquisition and expansion within financial services
• Build and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders at financial services organizations, guiding them through Gitlab-driven digital transformation and enabling them to become Gitlab advocates
• Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices in the context of financial services risk, governance, and compliance
• Own technical evaluations, including proofs of value and workshops, and serve as the voice of financial services customers back to Product Management
• Shape architectures that fit financial services constraints and drive successful GitLab platform adoption in commercial financial services accounts
• Influence revenue growth through solution selling and build long-term, trust-based relationships with customers
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Account Executives and Product Management, to drive business outcomes and customer success

What We Are Looking For

• Technical expertise in cloud and secure software delivery, with a strong understanding of financial services constraints and regulations
• Experience working with financial institutions, guiding them through digital transformation and modernization
• Strong customer empathy and the ability to connect platform capabilities to risk, compliance, and business outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders
• Experience with AI-powered DevSecOps platforms and the ability to drive technical evaluations and solution design
• Strong understanding of software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices in the context of financial services risk, governance, and compliance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively

• Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements
