About the Role

The Senior Solutions Architect role at Virtasant is a high-impact, client-facing position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise and consulting capability. As a trusted advisor to clients, you will design and optimize large-scale cloud environments, lead technical strategy for complex transformation programs, and drive cost optimization initiatives across enterprise cloud estates. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping clients achieve their business goals through scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures.

The role involves working closely with client stakeholders to understand their business and technical objectives, designing cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP, and translating complex technical challenges into clear solution roadmaps. You will also lead cloud cost optimization initiatives, analyze usage patterns and architecture design, and implement governance and automation frameworks to ensure ongoing cost efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Design and optimize large-scale cloud environments for clients across various industries
  • Lead technical strategy for complex transformation programs, including cloud migrations and platform redesign
  • Develop and implement cloud architectures that meet clients' business and technical requirements
  • Analyze usage patterns, architecture design, and infrastructure configuration to reduce waste and optimize costs
  • Implement governance and automation frameworks to ensure ongoing cost efficiency
  • Guide engineering teams on architecture patterns, infrastructure design, and delivery practices
  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Partner with senior stakeholders, including engineering leaders and executives, to identify new opportunities and drive long-term technical transformation strategies
  • Mentor engineers and junior architects, sharing knowledge and establishing internal best practices across engagements

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 7+ years of experience working with public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proven track record of designing and optimizing large-scale cloud environments
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with experience articulating complex technical challenges and solutions
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in fast-moving environments
  • Hands-on technical capability, with experience implementing solutions and troubleshooting issues
  • Client-facing confidence, with ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization, including analysis of usage patterns and implementation of governance and automation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance principles
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI-first workflow and integration of AI capabilities into cloud architectures
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker, and orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud-based machine learning and data analytics platforms
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
